Peter's unexpected passing
What a shock it has been for us all. Peter passed away on Monday 16 November. He seemed to be in such good health and was really looking forward to visiting Kevin, Josie and his grandchildren in Sydney in December. His funeral service will be held on Thursday 19 November 2009 (Time: 13h00) at the Maitland Crematorium Chapel,Voortrekker Road, Maitland.

Mr Lategan - even though we sometimes went for a few weeks without chatting, I always knew you were close in sprirt and thought. A huge void has been left in my life - you were a second grandfather to me and I will always love and miss you dearly!!
My heart is broken today.
We got to know each other while working for and with Peter and then stayed friends for all these years - thank you for what you have always meant to me!
May God strengthen and protect all your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Ronnie, Kevin, Cynthia, Josie and all the grand children and great grand children!

Sincere condolences to you, family, grandchildren etc. This was devastating news – My Uncle Peter was so looking forward to his trip and it’s so sad to think that this dream of his was never realized. I have always loved your dad, my uncle, as if he was my dad (in fact more so) – we had a special bond – he was a special person – and we kept in touch even after my mom died. So in effect, I’ve lost my third parent and am still in shock. I can only imagine how you must be feeling and how big the loss is for his family.
Thinking of you all and him with a heavy heart today, the day of his funeral.
